Exhibiting at B.F. Southgate & Company
We are often asked about our "dealer model", or what it looks like to exhibit at B.F. Southgate & Co. Here is a short intro, but we encourage you to reach out via the contact form below, or simply stop by the store.
We are not only looking for "traditional antique dealers." Although antiques have been our core for decades, at B.F. Southgate we have expanded our focus to encompass a broader audience. If you are a dealer in twentieth century items; a vendor of handmade products; an artist; or interior design sourcing maven; we have a home for you!
We rent floorspace by the square foot per month. Pricing is variable dependent on the location in the store. Locked showcases are rented by half-case, full case, or as open shelving (no doors / locks). Pricing for showcases or shelves will also depend on size and location. Contact us to discuss what options are currently available.
In line with the company vision, the products we are looking to exhibitors to bring is of a slightly more restrictive profile than you see elsewhere: We expect all items to be higher quality, and ready for use. They do not have to be expensive but should be fairly unique and command a discerning audience. In general, we discourage collectables, items that require extensive work, or may be easily found at a flea market.
While there is a plentiful demand for those items, our vision is an establishment which caters less to collectors and more as an interior design and furnishing galleria. A place for unique, high quality finds for all tastes, styles, and budgets.
All exhibitors are required to adhere to our documented dealer practices. In return we offer flexible terms, a supportive, helpful and collaborative display environment, and a true sense of community.
